BYU football senior wide receiver Parker Kingston has been arrested on suspicion of rape by the Washington County Attorney’s Office.

According to reports, the 21-year old Kingston has been charged and held on a first-degree felony rape charge from 2025.

Also according to reports, the investigation began in February of 2025 after a 20-year-old woman reported to the St. George police that she had been sexually assaulted. The woman claimed Kingston assaulted her on Feb. 23, 2025.

The length of time between the alleged assault and the arrest was so officers could gather evidence. Which they presented to the Washington County Attorney’s Office and led to Kingston’s arrest.

BYU released a statement regarding the arrest: “BYU became aware today of the arrest of Parker Kingston. The university takes any allegation very seriously, and will cooperate with law enforcement. Due to federal and university privacy laws and practices for students, the university will not be able to provide additional comment.”

Kingston had previously announced he was returning to play for the Cougars in 2026 in his senior year. Last season, Kingston was the team’s leading receiver and punt returner. He is originally from Layton and played football for Roy High School. According to his bio on the BYU team page online, Kingston is a business major.
