Branch was 2 for 4 from the 3-point line, added two assists and contributed nine offensive rebounds as the Americans pulled away after a close first half.
Team USA led 38-36 at halftime but outscored the Brazilians 46-26 in the second half.
Friday’s quarterfinal matchups include the Dominican Republic against Brazil — the winner will take on the Americans — and Argentina against Puerto Rico, with the winner playing Canada in the semifinals.
