BYU's Bruce Branch III looks to drive against Brazil in the semifinals of the U18 Americup in Leon, Mexico, on Saturday, June 6, 2026.

Team USA left no doubt in the semifinals of the 2026 U18 Americup, routing Brazil 102-56 on Saturday in Leon, Mexico.

The American exploded out to a 31-14 first quarter lead and took a 50-32 advantage at halftime. In the second half, Team USA outscored Brazil 52-24 for the 46-point win.

Colben Landrew led the Americans with 18 points, including 4 of 5 from the 3-point line and Quentin Coleman added 15 points. BYU’s Bruce Branch III contributed eight points, eight rebounds, two assists and two blocks in just over 21 minutes. Branch was 2 for 5 from the 3-point line.

The easy victory sets up a finals matchup on Sunday night with Canada, which has been even more dominant in the tournament. Team USA has won its four games by an average of 38.8 points; Team Canada has scored at least 100 points in every tournament game and has a win margin of 48.5.

This will be the fourth time in tournament history that Canada and USA will meet in the FIBA U18 AmeriCup championship game. They previously faced each other in three consecutive editions (2014, 2016 and 2018), with the Americans coming out on top each time. USA will be seeking their eighth consecutive gold medal in the competition, while Canada will be chasing their first-ever title.

Starting at $4.32/week.
