Congratulations to the top girls soccer players in the Utah Valley area in 2024:

Player of the Year: Kate Fuller, Jr. F, Lone Peak

Fuller emerged as an elite player who always played at a high level. She could get the ball in the net herself (20 goals) or set up teammates for excellent finishing opportunities (11 assists).

Offensive MVP: Paisley Gardner, Jr. F, American Heritage

Gardner proved to be a gifted scorer for the Patriots who took on the best competition 2A had to offer and both put the ball in the net (27 goals) and spread the ball around to others (16 assists) on the way to the state title.

Midfielder MVP: Kate Denney, Sr. MF/F, Lone Peak

Denney demonstrated how to be a dynamic leader and imposing presence in the midfield who was always ready to take on anyone either offensively (11 goals, 10 assists) or defensively.

Defensive MVP: Georgia King, Sr. D, Timpanogos

King is a physical athlete who started for the Timberwolves for three years and could always be counted on to contest every ball, whether on the ground or in the air (also had 8 goals and 2 assists).

Keeper of the Year: Anya Gulley, Jr. GK, Maple Mountain

Gulley is an athletic, tough keeper who did her part throughout the season to give the Golden Eagles a chance to win throughout the year (5.5 shutouts), helping them get back to the 5A semifinals.

Coach of the Year: Shantel Jolley, Lone Peak

Jolley kept her star-powered team focused and unified, despite injuries and other obstacles. It’s never easy to play every game with enough focus to avoid getting upset, but the Knights didn’t drop a single game as Jolley led them to their second-straight 6A title.

2024 All-Valley Girls Soccer First Team (alphabetical order)

Emily Bergero, Sr. GK, Timpanogos

Dedicated net-minder who finished with 8.5 shutouts and was a 3-year starter.

Cambria Lee, Sr. F, Skyridge

Talented attacker who was always a threat to get the ball in the net (14 goals scored, nine assists).

Eliza Collings, Jr. GK, Lone Peak

Mentally sharp athlete who didn’t get tested frequently but was still ready and made big stops (16 shutouts, 6 goals allowed).

Bella Devey, Sr. MF, Lone Peak

Athletic forward with the speed and skill to wreak havoc on defenses in numerous ways (18 goals, 13 assists).

Jordyn Farrer, Sr. F, Pleasant Grove

Dangerous attacker who notched 10 goals while also setting up teammates for seven assists.

Chelsea Hartmann, Sr. MF, Lehi

Impressive facilitator who came through with 12 assists as well as 8 goals.

Brooke Hendricks, Sr. F, Lone Peak

Relentless forward who was always a threat to create magic (10 goals scored, 8 assists).

Haley Hutchins, Sr. F, Timpanogos

Versatile athlete who was as comfortable distributing (9 assists) as scoring herself (11 goals).

Sierra Jacobson, Sr. MF, Maple Mountain

Key leader who made everyone around her better (6 goals, 6 assists).

Malia Jessop, Sr. F, Timpanogos

Electric player who used her speed and skill to create openings (8 goals, 4 assists).

Ruby Lee, Sr. D, Lone Peak

Amazing one-on-one defender who stymied some gifted attackers, helping the Knights get a lot of shutouts.

Samantha (Mattie) Neves, Jr. F/MF, Springville

Tremendous young attacker who has been one of the most dangerous and consistent players in the state, notching 16 goals and 10 assists.

Samantha Sellers, Sr. F, Lone Peak

Effective winger who could shoot coming into the middle (21 goals) or put great touch on her crosses (10 assists).

Samira Sosa, Sr. F, Maeser

One of the top scorers in the state with 34 goals but also got the ball in position for others (10 assists).

Sadie Stratton, So. F, American Heritage

Phenomenal finishers who was nearly unstoppable in the attack (33 goals, 6 assists).
