Player of the Year: Ethan Hillyard Sr. S Pleasant Grove
Hillyard was spectacular in his first year as a setter and helped lead the Vikings to the 6A state title. He finished with 980 assists (8.0 per set), 243 digs and 30 service aces and showed versatility with 142 kills (1.2 per set) as well.
Offensive MVP: Trey Thornton Jr. OPP, Maple Mountain
The lefty BYU commit was a terror on the offensive side for the 5A state champs, finishing with 429 kills (4.6 per set) and hitting .367. Thornton also contributed 39 aces, 46 blocks and 250 digs.
Defensive MVP: Cade Dalley Sr. MB Lone Peak
The 6-foot-7, 230-pound Dalley was an intimidating presence at the net for the Knights, ending up with 93 total blocks (73 block assists, 20 solo blocks). He added 211 kills (1.9 per set) and hit .301.
Setter MVP: Taft Hillman So. S, Maple Mountain
Hillman directed a potent Golden Eagles offense and had 828 assists (9.4 per set) along with 31 aces and 47 blocks. He also contributed 52 kills at a .350 clip
Co-Coaches of the Year: Geoff Wright, Maple Mountain and Dave Neeley, Pleasant Grove
Wright’s Maple Mountain team won 18 matches in a row to finish the season, including a 3-0 sweep of Bountiful to win the 5A state title. Neeley, who had finished second three times while coaching the Mountain View girls, earned his first state title as the Vikings rolled to the 6A crown.
First Team All-Valley
Connor Brockbank, Sr. OH, Spanish Fork
Brockbank was the heart and soul of the Dons, helping them reach the 5A semifinals with 434 kills (4.1 per set) along with 59 aces and 211 digs.
Keanu Calles, Sr. OH, Orem
Calles logged 305 kills (3.1 per set) while adding 44 aces and 175 digs for the Tigers.
Franky Fainga, Sr. OH, Skyridge
The high-flying Fainga produced 387 kills (4.3 per set) and hit .372 to go along with 43 aces, 28 blocks and 191 digs.
Waylon Francom, Jr. Oh, Payson
Francom totaled 249 kills (2.4 per set) with 47 aces, 64 blocks and 155 digs for the Lions.
Max Hale, Jr. OH, American Fork
Hale topped the Cavemen with 240 kills (3.6 per set) to go along with 26 aces and 146 digs.
Mac Hillman, Sr. OH, Maple Mountain
Hillman was a great offensive option for the Golden Eagles, contributing 169 kills (1.8 per set), 451 service receptions and 136 digs.
Brady Holt, Fr. OH, Lone Peak
Holt was a freshman sensation with 302 kills (2.8 per set), hitting .235 to go along with 42 aces.
Ben Hone, Jr. OPP, Orem
Hone logged 318 kills (3.2 per set) and hit .267, also adding 28 aces and 231 digs for the 4A runner-up Tigers.
Trey Jarvis, Sr., OH Pleasant Grove
Jarvis was a big producer for the Vikings, finishing with 334 kills (2.8 per set) along with 47 aces and 244 digs.
Weston Johanson, Sr. OH, Pleasant Grove
Johnanson was key to the Vikings success with 324 kills (2.7 per set) to go along with 28 aces, 44 blocks and 180 digs.
Kenadi Lee, Sr. MB, Pleasant Grove
Lee made a lot of great plays as a senior and finished with 282 kills (2.3 per set), a team-leading 73 blocks, 37 aces and 205 digs.
Cooper Pope, Jr. OH, Timpanogos
Pope attacked opposing defenses with 320 kills (4.1 per set) and hit .262, adding 25 aces, 33 blocks and 221 digs.
Gavin Pricer, Sr. MB, Maple Mountain
Pricer was a great option in the middle for the 5A state champs, producing 161 kills (1.7 per set) while hitting .236 and firing 33 aces.
Easton Read, Sr. S, Lone Peak
Read directed the Knights offense with 909 assists (8.3 per set) and added 34 aces, 58 blocks, 202 digs and 68 kills.
Marcus Reittinger, Jr. MB, Skyridge
Reittinger finished the season with 221 kills (3.0 per set) while hitting .231 and adding 25 blocks.
Jack Scribner, Sr. S, Timpanogos
Scribner was the juice for the Timberwolves offense with 609 assists (7.5 per set) with 32 aces and 212 digs.
Ashton Shewell, Fr. OH
Shewell had a stunning debut, producing 412 kills (5.2 per set) and hitting .238 while also totaling 23 aces, 26 blocks and 197 digs in his freshman season.
Brockton Shirley, Jr. OH, Payson
Shirley totaled 249 kills (2.4 per set) along with 25 aces and 204 digs in 2024.
Kilika Tafa, So. OH, Westlake
Tafa is one of the state’s top young players, notching 231 kills (3.6 per set) and hitting .265 for the Thunder. He also had 38 aces and 136 digs.
Preston Taylor, Jr. OH, Salem Hills
Taylor was a great offensive option for the Skyhawks, totaling 256 kills (3.0 per set) along with 49 blocks and 186 digs.

Beckwith totaled 157 kills (2.9 per set) and 42 aces.

Billeter totaled 201 kills (2.8 per set) and 158 digs.
