Here are the top girls basketball players in the Utah Valley area in 2024-25:

Player of the Year: Kennedy Woolston, Jr. G/F, Lone Peak

Gifted athlete and irreplaceable leader who could be counted on to both score (14.2 points per game)and do all the little things that helped make the Knights so tough to beat (6.5 rebounds per game, 4 assists per game, 2.7 steals per game).

Offensive MVP: Emmy Hales, Jr. G, Payson

Deadeye shooter who drew an enormous amount of attention from defenses but still scored 14.6 points per game and hit 50 3-pointers, while also contributing in other ways (7.5 rebounds per game, 3.7 steals per game).

Defensive MVP: Chenielle Nye, Sr. F, Salem Hills

Imposing presence in the interior who was always creating problems for opponents (11.7 rebounds per game, 1.8 steals per game, 1.2 blocks per game) while also making a difference on offense (14.8 points per game, 49% shooting).

Coach of the Year: Nancy Warner, Lone Peak

Warner went from having a group of confident veterans to rebuilding with a group of inexperienced athletes, yet guided them through the ups and downs of the season and molded them to return to the top as 6A state champs.

Impressive rising star who put up some of the top scoring number in the state at 17.8 points per game with 72 made 3-pointers, while also contributing 4.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game.

Peyton Behnke, Sr. G, Wasatch

Aggressive athlete who found ways to get the ball in the hoop (13.8 points per game) or get the ball back for her team (3 rebounds per game, 2.7 steals per game).

Jaycee Carlson, Jr. G, Mountain View

All-round performer who was everywhere for the Bruins as she stuffed the stat sheet, averaging 10.5 points per game, 9 rebounds per game, 4.8 steals per game, and 5.7 assists per game.

Tabi Clark, Jr. W, Pleasant Grove

Dynamic player who was tough to stop (14 points per game, 1.9 assists per game) and tough to keep away from the ball (7.7 rebounds per game).

Tatianna Harness, Jr. G, Lone Peak

Consistent performer who found ways to come up big when her team needed her (8.7 points per game, 2.6 assists per game).

McKenzie Jepson, Sr. G,  Lehi

Solid leader who spearheaded things for the Pioneers at both ends of the court (11 points per game, 4.3 rebounds per game, 2.7 assists per game).

Ellie Larson, Jr. W, Cedar Valley

Big-time player who was always in the right place and took advantage of her opportunities (11.7 points per game, 5.5 rebounds per game, 1.8 steals per game).

Quincey Mathews, Sr. F, Payson

Relentless post presence who was excellent at getting to the glass (7.6 rebounds per game) and getting the ball in the basket (13.8 points per game, , 2.5 assists per game).

Merceius Mili, Sr. F, Skyridge

Gifted athlete with both size and a silky smooth jump shot who notched 15.4 points per game on 42% shooting for the Falcons.

Zuri Nordstrom, So. G, Lone Peak

Excellent shooter (8.8 points per game, 34 made 3-pointers) who was never afraid to mix it up with anyone to defend or get boards (3.6 rebounds per game).

Ella Oeser, Jr. F, Skyridge

Key interior performer who was made a difference in a lot of ways for the Falcons (11.7 points per game, 7.9 rebounds per game, 2.6 assists per game).

Avery Roundy, Sr. G, Payson

Impressive leader who set the tone for the Lions on defense (5.3 rebounds per game, 3.3 steals per game) while also averaging 10 points per game.

Janiece Sikander, So. G, Westlake

Fearless competitor who never hesitated when there was a chance to make plays on offense or defense (9.7 points per game, 5.7 rebounds per game, 3 assists per game, 2.3 steals per game).

Mahala Speredon, So. F, Wasatch

Excellent athlete who effectively used her size to get to the rim (11.7 points per game) and to get to the boards (7.7 rebounds per game) for the Wasps.
