All-Valley Girls Volleyball 2025
Player of the Year: Kylie Buttars, Sr., Skyridge
Butters led the Falcons to a No. 1 ranking with 398 kills (4.0 per set), hitting .264 with 55 aces, 226 digs (2.3 per set), 41 total blocks and 580 service receptions (5.8 per set). Buttars has signed to play college volleyball at BYU.
Offensive MVP: Nevaeh Magalei, Jr., Provo
Magalei was No. 2 in the state and No. 1 in Class 4A with 578 kills (5.1 per set). She hit .205 with 49 aces, 53 total blocks, 383 digs (3.4 per set).
Defensive MVP: Taytum Nelson, Sr., Pleasant Grove
The 6-foot-5 Nelson was a dominant force at the net, totaling 101 blocks (83 block assists, 18 solo blocks), which is 3.4 blocks per match. She also had 213 kills (2.1 per set) and hit a robust .378. She’s going to play at Utah State next season.
Setter MVP: Sarah Page, Sr., Orem
Sarah Page, a three-year starter, led the Tigers to a No. 1 ranking and the 4A state title match in 2025 with 870 assists (8.5 per set) along with 63 aces, 22 total blocks, 297 digs (2.9 per set) and 96 kills.
Libero MVP: Scarlett Page, Sr., Orem
Scarlett Page was dynamic as a libero for the Tigers, finishing with 394 digs (3.8 per set) and 386 service receptions (8.5 per set). She also added 41 service aces and 108 assists.
Coach of the Year: Tayler Hifo, Skyridge
Hifo made a slick transition from assistant to head coach in 2025, leading the Falcons to a 27-3 record and a runner-up finish in Class 6A. She also became a mother for the first time, giving birth to a son during the season.
FIRST TEAM ALL-VALLEY
Ava Burgess Jr., OH Lone Peak
Burgess, last year’s Valley Player of the Year, piled up 402 kills (4.4 per set) and hit .293 with 53 aces, 47 total blocks and 291 digs (3.2 per set).
Jaycee Carlson Sr. OH, Mountain View
Carlson was a great offensive option for the Bruins, finishing with 276 kills (3.5 per set) and hit .171 along with 50 aces and 208 digs (2.7 per set).
Annie Cronauer So. OH, Wasatch
Cronauer was the leading hitter for the Wasps, logging 296 kills (2.8 per set) and hit .335 with 45 aces and 128 total blocks.
Lily Grant Sr. S, Skyridge
Grant led a fantastic Falcons offense with 948 assists (8.9 per set) with 60 aces, 31 total blocks, 247 digs (2.3 per set) and 58 kills. She’ll start her career at Snow College.
Sienna Kuresa So. OH, Skyridge
Kuresa was a great option for the Falcons and ended up with 273 kills (2.7 per set) and hit .195 with 25 aces, 26 total blocks and 208 digs (2.0 per set).
Fili Liav’a Sr. L, Wasatch
Liav’a proved to be one of the state’s top liberos with 526 digs (5.0 per set) and 495 service receptions (5.5 per set).
Marley McCandless So. S, Pleasant Grove
McCandless is shaping up to be one of the state’s top recruits, posting 889 assists (8.6 per set) with 24 aces, 165 digs (1.6 per set) and 65 kills in her sophomore season.
Macy Melville Jr. OH, American Fork
Melville was a menace with 378 kills (4.2 per set), hitting .183 with 60 aces and 254 digs (2.8 per set).
Haven Michaelis Jr. OH, Orem
Michaelis has been a force in her two varsity seasons and in 2025 had 346 kills (3.5 per set) while hitting .236 with 148 digs (1.5 per set).
Molly Mitchell Sr. OH, Pleasant Grove
Mitchell put up excellent numbers for the Vikings with 207 kills (2.2 per set) and hit .372 with 45 aces and 45 total blocks.
Elle Richardson Sr. S, Mountain View
Richardson was a big producer for the Bruins with 659 assists (8.2 per set), 90 aces, 173 digs (2.2 per set) and 123 kills. She’s take her talents to the University of Colorado next season.
Madi Scott So. OH, Orem
Scott has a bright future with the Tigers after compiling 330 kills (3.5 per set) and hitting .252 with 41 aces and 259 digs (2.8 per set) in her sophomore season.
Hadyn Smith Sr. OH, Skyridge
Smith finished with 365 kills (3.4 per set) and hit .336 with 25 aces and 79 total blocks. She’ll play next at Lewis & Clark College in Oregon.
Karli Smith Sr. OH, Maple Mountain
Smith totaled 376 kills (3.6 per set) and hit .174 with 43 aces and 281 digs (2.7 per set).
Adison Thornton So. S, Maple Mountain
Thornton was a versatile asset for the Golden Eagles, finishing with 839 assists (8.0 per set), 234 digs (2.2 per set), 119 kills while hitting .280 and firing off 68 aces.
