Cedar Valley baseball being investigated for possible inappropriate behavior on trip

The Aviator logo sits painted on a wall at Cedar Valley High School.The Alpine School District is investigating the Cedar Valley baseball team after reports of “inappropriate behavior and inadequate supervision” during a school-sponsored sport trip, according to an official statement released by the district on Thursday.
The release, provided by ASD Director of Communications Rich Stowell, stated that Aviator coaches have been placed on leave during the investigation and the team canceled the game against Manti in Eagle Mountain it had scheduled for Thursday. It plans to resume competition after next week’s spring break.

“Alpine School District is aware of reports of inappropriate behavior and inadequate supervision involving the Cedar Valley High baseball team during a school-sponsored athletic trip. The coaches have been placed on leave while we conduct an investigation.
“Cedar Valley High School canceled their game scheduled for March 27, 2025. The team intends to resume competition following Spring Break.
“Providing safe and rewarding experiences for our students and athletes is a priority across our district. We will continue to talk to those involved to determine how to improve our programs, policies, and procedures.”
