Outlook: A turbulent offseason led to a tough 0-3 start for the T-Birds in 2026, but they recovered enough to finish third in Region 7 behind 5A champ Orem and 5A runner-up Springville.

Uale, the former BYU defensive back, was an interim coach and was retained for good after the season.

“We believe we have a team capable of competing for a region championship and a 5A state title,” he said. “We have a strong senior class, several juniors with varsity experience and a talented group of younger players who are continuing to develop. We have high expectations, but our focus will be on improving every day, staying healthy and playing our best football when it matters most.”

Junior Dennis Tau’one is a fantastic athlete who has played a variety of positions for the T-Birds, including quarterback, and combined for 1,600 yards of offense and 12 touchdowns. The offensive line is loaded, led by Utah commit Ian Aloisio.

“Our biggest strength is the combination of senior leadership and young talent,” Uale said. “We have good length, athleticism and versatility, especially at our skill positions, along with several players who can contribute on both sides of the ball. We also have a group of juniors who gained valuable varsity experience last season. Our success will depend on how well we come together, communicate and play complementary football.”

What is your favorite team building activity? “Having our players work at our youth football camp,” Uale said. “It gives them an opportunity to coach younger players, give back to our feeder program and represent Timpview football in the community. They learn servant leadership, patience, communication and responsibility. It also helps them understand that being part of this program is about more than what happens on Friday nights. They are helping build the future of Timpview football.”
