Outlook: The Heber Valley is home to two high schools this fall with the opening of Deer Creek, so Bringhurst and his staff has a challenge ahead in 2026.

“Football is alive and well even after the opening of Deer Creek,” Bringhurst said. “We have a few of returning starters and are going to be young with very talented the guys in all positions.”

Harr and Wheeler are tasked with replacing graduated senior Jay Bradley at quarterback, with Seiter and Ball lining up defensively as the Wasps move down to Class 4A in Region 7.

“The strength of our team this year is definitely our leadership. We spent a lot of time on building a fantastic culture that has allowed these guys to personally grow Which has significantly benefitted our team. Yeah, Sean so far through our practices. Definitely a great vibe and culture.”

What is your favorite team building activity? “We have a coach on our staff that’s been here for almost seven years,” Bringhurst said. “He just got diagnosed with ALS a year ago. My favorite activity hands-down is to see the boys serve him when he’s here at the stadium. We even went over to his house recently to pull weeds and do a bunch of landscaping. We had more football players in his yard than weeds, but that didn’t matter.”
