Player of the Year
Nixon Warren Jr. CF, Spanish Fork
Warren led the 5A state champions by hitting .417 from his leadoff spot with 43 runs scored, 48 hits and 38 RBI, stroking 14 doubles, six triples and three home runs while adding 12 steals. In center field, Warren had 48 put outs and two assists in 50 total chances, not committing a single error. He also added two saves, including getting the final out of the state championship Game 3 win vs. Maple Mountain.
Offensive MVP
Cooper Hawkes Sr. IF, Timpanogos
Hawkes was the best power hitter in the state, posting the No. 1 slugging percentage (1.140). He hit .527 (sixth in the state) with 43 runs scored, 49 hits and 50 RBI (third in the state) to go along with 15 doubles, nine triples and eight home runs. He contributed an on-base percentage of .602.
Pitching MVP
Kenny Johnson Sr. 1B/P, American Fork
Johnson was a perfect 8-0 in 2026, posting a miniscule 1.35 ERA with 38 strikeouts. During the 6A state tournament run, Johnson allowed just nine hits and two runs while striking out 16 batters in three games. At the plate, Johnson hit a robust .394 with 21 runs scored, 41 hits and 19 RBI to go along with 13 doubles.
Defensive MVP
Dawson Moore So. SS, Provo
Moore was easily a candidate for Offensive MVP but we chose honor him for his defensive skills where he was one of the state’s best. Moore had 46 put outs and 59 assists on 113 total chances, finishing with a .929 fielding percentage from his shortstop spot and turning four double plays. Moore was a beast as a hitter, posting the second-best average in the state (.557) with 49 runs scored, 54 hits and 32 RBI. He totaled 18 doubles, four triples, six home runs and 11 stolen bases for the Bulldogs.
Coach of the Year
Jarod Ingersoll, American Fork and Hadley Thorpe, Spanish Fork
Both Ingersoll and Thorpe followed up a 2025 state title with another one this season. Ingersoll and the Cavemen battled past Region 3 foe Skyridge to win the school’s 13th state title. Thorpe and the Dons had to go to three games to beat Region 7 foe Maple Mountain to claim the 5A championship.
FIRST TEAM ALL-VALLEY
Ruger Braithwaite Sr. OF, Payson
Braithwaite hit .415 for the Lions, adding 29 runs, 34 hits and 21 RBI to go along with six doubles, one triple and three home runs. He also struck out 52 batters as a pitcher.
Kavyn Carter Jr. P, Maple Mountain
Carter had a terrific season on the mound for the Golden Eagles, posting a 7-1 record with a 2.10 ERA and 72 strikeouts.
Nate Clement Sr. IF/OF, Pleasant Grove
Clement was a great fire starter for the Vikings, hitting .443 with 42 runs scored, 39 hits, 21 RBI, five doubles, two triples and 14 stolen bases.
Trigg Cloward So. C, Spanish Fork
Cloward followed up a great freshman year by batting .408 with 11 runs scored, 42 hits, 37 RBI, 15 doubles, two triples and five home runs.
Sammy Dart Jr. 1B/P, Spanish Fork
Dart pulled double duty for the Dons, batting .417 with 33 runs scored, 40 hits, 21 RBI, eight doubles and a home run on offense while posting a 7-1 mark on the mound with a 3.36 ERA and 57 strikeouts.
Hazen Elton Sr. C, Lehi
Elton had a big year for the Pioneers by batting .400 with 18 runs scored, 40 hits, 34 RBI, nine doubles, two triples and seven home runs.
Benji Engemann Fr. IF, Orem
Engemann provided plenty of firepower as a freshman for the Tigers, batting .444 with 38 runs scored, 40 hits, 22 RBI, six doubles, three triples, three home runs and 10 steals.
Braxton Faller Jr. SS, Wasatch
Faller hit .411 with 24 runs, 37 hits and 31 RBI to go along with eight doubles, a home run and 11 stolen bases for the Wasps.
Chase Ford Jr. OF, Orem
Ford was a tough out for the Tigers, batting .485 with 31 runs scored, 50 hits, 51 RBI, 11 doubles, two triples and nine home runs. He also posted a 2.81 ERA with 55 strikeouts.
Bode Gaggero Sr. SS, American Fork
Gaggero came on strong in the latter half of the season and bashed two home runs in the deciding Game 3 of the 6A finals. He batted .347 with 29 runs scored, 33 hits, 19 RBI, six doubles, one triple and six home runs.
Cayden Giles Sr. OF/P, Maple Mountain
Giles was a mainstay for the Golden Eagles, batting .447 with 39 runs scored, 46 hits, 28 RBI, 12 doubles, a home run and 18 stolen bases. He also posted a 2-0 record as a pitcher.
Will Gulbrandson Sr. P, Provo
Gulbrandson always brought his “A” game for the Bulldogs, finishing with an 8-1 pitching record, a 2.30 ERA and 72 strikeouts.
Jeremiah Hall So. SS/P, Maple Mountain
Hall is one of the most exciting young players in the state and batted .462 with 40 runs scored, 48 hits, 32 RBI, nine doubles, a triple, eight home runs and 23 stolen bases. He also struck out 41 batters on the mound.
Corbin Hardy Jr. OF/P, Timpanogos
Hardy did it all for the T-Wolves, batting .451 with 18 runs scored, 37 hits, 28 RBI, 10 doubles and three triples. As a pitcher, he finished 3-0 with a 2.83 ERA and 47 strikeouts.
Jace Hunter Sr. C, Timpanogos
Hunter was terrific behind the plate and hit .455 with 11 runs scored, 46 hits, 22 RBI, seven doubles, three triples and a home run.
Royal Matthews Sr. IF/C, Wasatch
Matthews batted .419 and totaled 31 runs, 36 hits, 25 RBI, six doubles, five home runs and 11 stolen bases for the Wasps.
Eli Leyva Sr. OF, Salem Hills
Leyva posted a .416 batting average and totaled 29 runs, 42 hits, 22 RBI, 10 doubles, one triple and 10 stolen bases for the Skyhawks.
Pratt Morley Jr. LF/P, Spanish Fork
Morley was truly effective on the mound with a 4-1 record, a tiny 0.97 ERA and 51 strikeouts while batting .337 with 28 runs scored, 34 hits, 33 RBI, nine doubles, two triples, five home runs and 10 steals for the Dons.
Keaton Nordick Sr. IF/P, Pleasant Grove
The Vikings counted on Nordick on the mound at at the plate. He was 6-1 this season with a 3.53 ERA and 76 strikeouts while also batting .333 with 15 runs scored, 27 hits, 22 RBI and seven doubles.
Rip Roberts Sr. IF/P, Skyridge
Roberts was the Falcons MVP, batting .422 with 34 runs scored, 43 hits, 17 RBI four doubles, two triples and 23 stolen bases. He also won five games as a pitcher and struck out 34 batters.
Gavin Robinson Sr. 3B, American Fork
Robinson was part of a powerful Caveman lineup, batting .368 with 32 runs scored, 42 hits, 23 RBI, 15 doubles, two triples and two home runs.
Miles Robinson Sr. OF, Skyridge
A healthy Robinson was one of the Falcons top weapons, batting .468 with 25 runs scored, 35 hits, 24 RBI, nine doubles, five triples, three home runs and 14 steals.
Grady Slesk Sr. P/IF, Lone Peak
Slesk was a double threat for the Knights, batting .325 with nine runs scored, 26 hits, 23 RBI, a double and a home run while posting an 8-3 mark on the mound with a 2.35 ERA and 87 strikeouts.
Davey Staffieri Jr. IF, Pleasant Grove
Staffieri made a big impact for the Vikings, batting .375 with 19 runs scored, 27 hits, 29 RBI, eight doubles, two triples and two home runs.
Kingston Stroshine Fr. OF, Lone Peak
Kingston led the entire state with a .579 batting average (in 57 at bats) as a freshman. He also contributed 15 runs, 33 hits, 20 RBI, five doubles and five home runs.
Boston Sundberg Sr. C, Skyridge
Sundberg batted .378 with 34 hits, 24 RBI, eight doubles and a triple for the Falcons.
Mitch Walker So. OF, Maple Mountain
Walker was a terror as a sophomore for the Golden Eagles, batting .389 with 32 runs scored, 42 hits, 37 RBI, five doubles, seven home runs and 11 steals.
Jake Welch So. SS, Lehi
The Pioneers found their future at shortstop with Welch, who batted .485 with 40 runs scored, 47 hits, 29 RBI, 12 doubles, two triples, five home runs and 16 steals.
Talon Willardson Jr. OF/P, American Fork
Willardson did great work for the Cavemen, finishing with a 5-1 record, a 2.23 ERA and 53 stikeouts while batting .317 with 24 runs scored, 32 hits, 25 RBI, four doubles, a triple and six home runs.
Tavake Wolfgramm So. C, Pleasant Grove
Wolfgramm made a huge impact as a sophomore, batting .368 with 26 runs scored, 32 hits, 27 RBI, four doubles, three triples, three home runs and 19 steals.

Batted .398 with 21 runs scored, 35 hits, 23 RBI, five doubles, a triple and two home runs.
