Prep Football Roundup: Weather forces games to Saturday finishes

Friday
American Fork 29, Davis 20
Jake Matsen threw a pair of touchdown passes and Jace Worthington kicked three field goals at the Cavemen (5-1) spoiled the Darts homecoming with a road victory.
Bode Sparrow caught two touchdown passes for Davis (3-3).
6A Region 3
Corner Canyon 37, Lone Peak 14
A big second half propelled Corner Canyon (5-1) past Lone Peak (3-3) in a key Region 3 matchup.
Leading 14-7 at halftime, the Chargers outscored the Knights 23-7 in the second half, which included a pair of interception returns for touchdowns by Diesel Dart (19 yards) and Will Tenney (13 yards).
5A Region 7
Springville 48, Payson 0
Sam Nadauld scored three touchdowns — two on receptions and another on a punt return — to lead the Red Devils to a shutout of the Lions.
Springville put up 28 points in the second quarter and the game was called after three periods due to the 44-point mercy rule.
4A Region 8
Uintah 17, Wasatch 16
Colton Van Wagoner kicked an 18-yard field goal with 2:15 to play as Uintah (3-3) knocked off Wasatch (1-5).
Mountain View 49, Deer Creek 10
Hyrum Stafford threw two touchdown passes and ran for another as Mountain View raced past Deer Creek in Region 8 play.
Stafford connected with Briggy Moses for two scores and found the end zone on a 27-yard run. Ratu Maungahu also scored twice for the Bruins.

Summit Academy 34, ALA 0
Rigby Young had a pair of touchdown runs as Summit Academy routed American Leadership Academy in 2A play.

Herriman 48, Westlake 7
Filisi Filipe scored on four touchdown runs to lead Herriman to a big win against Westlake in Region 2 play.

Copper Hills 41, Cedar Valley 0
Ryder Mitchell led the Grizzlies to a shutout of the Aviators in Region 2 play, scoring three touchdowns on the ground.

Timpview 56, Maple Mountain 13
TJ Tuha scored three touchdowns and the T-Birds scored 42 unanswered points in a rout of Maple Mountain. BYU commit Uhila Wolfgramm opened the scoring for the Golden Eagles with a 32-yard run in the first quarter, which took place on Friday. Weather delays forced the finish to be postponed until Saturday.
Spanish Fork 28, Pleasant Grove 24
Hawkin Rasmussen scored on a 1-yard run with 1:04 to play to lead the Dons to a victory against the Vikings.
Nixon Warren scored three times for Spanish Fork, including a 92-yard touchdown pass from Rasmussen in the fourth quarter.

Salem Hills 20, Timpanogos 13
Cash Hollingshead totaled three touchdowns (two passing, one rushing) as Salem Hills held off Timpanogos in Region 8 play.
