Muchitsch signs with men’s hoops

Utah Valley University men’s basketball head coach Todd Phillips has announced the signing of Barton Community College transfer Sebastian Muchitsch, who will join the Wolverines for the upcoming season.

Muchitsch, a 6-foot-7 guard/wing from Crawley, England, brings size, versatility, and a strong international background to the Utah Valley roster. He played the past two seasons at Barton Community College, where he averaged 12.4 points and 7.6 rebounds per game while shooting 45.4 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from three-point range. He earned all-conference honors and helped lead the program to a KJCCC co-championship during the 2025-26 season.

“Excited to have Sebastian join the Wolverine family,” said Phillips. “He’s a high-character individual who will bring great value to our program. What stands out most is his versatility. He has great size and strength, rebounds the ball at a high level, and has the ability to stretch the floor. We’re excited about what he will bring to our team.”

Prior to his time at Barton, Muchitsch earned multiple honors in the College Basketball League, including MVP and Division 3 Player of the Year accolades during the 2023-24 season. He was also a First Team All-Conference selection and previously earned U18 MVP honors.

Muchitsch has extensive international experience, representing Austria at multiple levels, including the U17 3×3 National Team, as well as the Austria U18 and U20 National Teams. He also participated in the Hoopsfix All-Star events in both 2023 and 2024.

A two-year graduate of Barton Community College, Muchitsch will enter Utah Valley as a junior.
