Kids Book Review: Book demonstrates kids’ love of libraries
Do you love reading? Do you love art? Do you love history? We’re betting, since you’re reading KidsPost, that you can honestly answer “yes” to at least one of those questions. If that’s the case, you’ll definitely want to check out “Hands Around the Library.” With amazing collage illustrations by Susan L. Roth, the book tells the story of how, during the protests against the government in Egypt in 2011, young people formed an enormous circle around the library in that country’s city of Alexandria to protect its collection of more than a million books.
After reading this book, we suggest that you go to your local library and look around at all it has to offer with a renewed sense of gratitude.
