In honor of International Literacy Day on Monday, Sept. 8, this fall’s chapter story will begin Wednesday, Sept. 10.

The story this year, titled “Hundred Dollar Cat” by Frances Milburn, tells of young Ben and his experience after a cashier at a local restaurant gives him $100 instead of $10. Nobody notices the mistake and Ben pockets the money. Ben thinks of the many options he has and then works through the soul-searching dilemma. 

The story will run in the newspaper every Wednesday and available online at Student News.
