Utah Valley Student of the Week: Emily Escamilla
Emily Escamilla, 8, of Spanish Fork, is a third grade student at Rees Elementary. She was chosen as the Daily Herald’s Utah Valley Student of the Week.
According to teachers and peers, Escamilla is a good, honest kid. She is very positive and can find the good in any situation. She is great at setting goals and working hard while having fun accomplishing them.
Escamilla raised quite a bit of money for Rees school and the American Heart Association. She is also a huge help to her teacher and consistently sets a good example of positive behavior at school.
She loves to dance and is on a dance team at Heart n Soul. She enjoys designing clothes and is learning how to sew. In the summer, she loves to swim. She is great at making new friends and is kind to everyone.
Escamilla has hopes to attend Brigham Young University in Provo. She would like to be a fashion designer, a professional dancer, teacher or a stay-at-home mom.
