Lindy Winward is a sixth grade student at Sage Creek Elementary School in Springville. She was chosen as the Daily Herald’s Utah Valley Student of the Week.

Look out Broadway, here she comes! Winward has performed in three plays at the Junior Hale Center Theater. She loves singing, acting and dancing. But as the only girl in a family of boys, she also loves sports and Legos. Her favorite number is 22, and she is a Taylor Swift fan.

At school, Winward is a peer tutor who goes out of her way to help other students. She encourages students who struggle by taking the time to work with them and doesn’t just do the work for them.

She is naturally kind to every single one of her fellow classmates and a role model for her peers on how to treat others. She works hard in school and puts her best effort into everything she does. As a performer, Winward is her best self on and off the stage.
