One

The Horned Frogs claim national championships in 1935 and 1938, when they were led by Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Sammy Baugh and Heisman Trophy winner Davey O’Brien, respectively.

Two

TCU is one of only four FBS teams to have played in all six College Football Playoff Bowls, winning all but the Orange.

Retired numbers at TCU include Baugh (45), O’Brien (8) and running back LaDainian Tomlinson (5).

Cheerleader Chad Schrotel (Class of 1982) helped this gesture of unity catch on with the crowds in 1980. Appropriately, it’s like a peace sign with slightly curled fingers, symbolizing the horns of the horned frog.

The student section has one of the more bizarre chants in college football, thought to be one of the oldest in the country. It goes something like this: “Riff, Ram, Bah, Zoo! Lickety, Lickety, Zoo Zoo! Who, Wah, Wah, Who! Give ’em Hell, TCU!”
