Utah County Sheriff's Office provides update on drowning incident in American Fork Canyon
The man who drowned at Silver Lake Flat Reservoir on Saturday night died after rescuing a 12-year-old female family member, according to a Utah County Sheriff's Office update. Sgt. Raymond Ormond posted on the office’s Facebook page Monday that Daniel Braga Figueiredo, 31, borrowed a paddle board and went out to help the girl, who was drifting further out into the reservoir in an inflatable tube.
