Judge to consider Robinson trial date at Friday hearing
Tyler Robinson will return to Provo's 4th District Court on Friday, where Judge Tony F. Graf said he will set a trial date. In preparation for the hearing, state prosecutors and the defense each submitted memorandum's Wednesday to propose when the trial should take place. Robinson proposed a six- to seven-month trial in 2029; the state suggested an 85-day trial beginning Jan. 31, 2028. County prosecutors said the state could be ready to start trial on Oct. 4, 2027, but suggested delaying the start until after the holiday season to avoid placing hardship on the jurors.
