Four Christmas film events, Christmas on the Silver Screen, hosted by the SCERA Center for the Arts in partnership with the LDS Film Festival.

If you are in the Christmas mood, and have some free time Saturday, the LDS Film Festival is presenting its first ever Christmas event.

Christmas on the Silver Screen, hosted by the SCERA Center for the Arts in partnership with the LDS Film Festival, is presenting four Christmas themed family events from 1-10 p.m. Saturday.

The 7:30 p.m. feature film, “Funny Thing About Love,” is not just a special screening but the Utah premiere featuring some familiar performers.

The movie centers around Samantha Banks, on top of the world, with a successful business and a handsome fiancé. But over one Thanksgiving Holiday with her scheming family, her whole world is thrown into a tailspin by inviting ex-boyfriend — “the one that got away.”

“Funny Thing About Love” stars Jon Heder, notably of “Napoleon Dynamite,” and Summer Bellessa from “Deal or No Deal.” Also in the film are Studio C’s Jason Gray and Brooke White from season seven of “American Idol.”

The film was written and directed by Adam White and there will be a Q&A after the show.

Other Christmas films include:

You’d be surprised!
