"Maggie" is streaming now on Hulu. What if you knew what was going to happen in the future for you and your friends? Well, that is the situation in the new series “Maggie,” streaming now on Hulu.
Maggie (Rebecca Rittenhouse) is a true psychic. She has the ability to see the future, but she can’t understand everything she sees.
With the help and guidance of her mentor in the “psychic” world, Angel (Ray Ford), Maggie muddles through life with this great talent. But is it a talent or a curse?
Her rule is simple — she does not give readings to her friends because that would make things too complicated. After all, would you want to tell your friends what will happen to them in the future? What if it’s bad?
But somehow she gets wrangled into knowing what will happen to Ben (David Del Rio), who becomes her lover because she sees a wedding in his future, and thinks it is for the two of them. But upon further reflection, she discovers it is with his longtime girlfriend, Jessie (Chloe Bridges).
What a tangled web is woven when Ben and Jessie move into the apartment below her. Now Maggie must deal with her romantic feelings for Ben, even though she knows they won’t end up together.
In the meantime, her group of friends grows to include Ben’s sister and her fiancé, along with a new beau Daniel (Adam Korson) who might be the man of her future. But what happens when Maggie thinks their pairing is not meant to be? Should she stop seeing him?
What if her heart is sending her on a different path than what she sees in her future? What is a girl to do?
The first season of this endearing show follows this close-knit group of friends as they manage their lives — and their knowledge that Maggie knows things about them. Maggie frequently gets confused and must learn to live in the moment. But can she?
The final episode lays the groundwork for the second season, though a second season has not been officially announced. The fans are hoping for at least one more season. Viewers definitely want to know what is going to happen to this cast of characters, even if Maggie already knows. But knowing is not always as simple as it seems. It is understanding that is more important, and that is what Maggie must figure out. Even without a guarantee for season 2, season 1 is worth your time and all 13 episodes are streaming now on Hulu.
