Eagle Mountain City Council repeals initial property tax raise, agrees on lower rate hike

Following public pushback and the filing of a resident-led referendum opposing a property tax increase of 183%, the Eagle Mountain City Council repealed the rate increase and approved a lower rate Tuesday. Eagle Mountain property owners will now pay a property tax rate of 0.000900, or a 69.81% increase from its 2026 rate of .000530.
