The Conversation: We are not our thoughts or feelings

The ego’s trickery is that it suggests we are something other than what we are, so that its continued influence may prevail. What is this something inside of us that we speak about, spend our entire lives searching for only to realize it is ourselves we seek, and often discover through adversity and failure? This is something that cannot be shown to you, because without enrolling in a course in Inner Education, one can never know what is inside of themselves. Acknowledging this requires a sit-down with ourselves, and must be non-negotiable, otherwise, the veil can never be lifted from their eyes.
How can a person expect someone else to show them who or what they are if they do not even know what it even looks like to begin with? Can something be offered to someone else without offering it to themselves first? This conversation is just as much mine as it is yours. Few are willing to go down the rabbit hole and move deeper into the suggestions that they can exist past their belief systems, thoughts, or feelings.
All human beings possess faculties for greatness, and these powers can only be assessed through the inner world. We have been programmed to believe that a good life comes from the outside world. There is a two-sided coin to our life, and we cannot cash in on the blessings until we understand the value of both sides of the coin. Only then can abundance open the ports of opportunity. Our thoughts have attributes to heal and the capacity to break down its host.
Observing the results of our own life can be the measure of what our thoughts are doing for and to our life. Make a note of this, because the life being lived in this very moment was chosen by you 100%. The unguided energy within our bodies must be used wisely because it is our responsibility to ourselves to become what we are meant to become.
Beyond all beliefs, human beings have been given grace, and its power resides in what is called choice. Thoughts are creators of worlds, and feelings bring life to the environment. Envision a world that puts you at the center of all things, and by understanding yourself, then and only then can help others with their suffering and into freedom. Beyond the physical world we are all going to be leaving a part of our essence behind. Only through silence can we navigate unhindered amongst thoughts and feelings to understand their nature.
“The greatest help is self-help; there is no other help but self-help — doing one’s best, dedicating oneself wholeheartedly to a given task, which happens to have no end but is an ongoing process.” –Bruce Lee
The conversation with ourselves is the common denominator and meeting place for self-discovery. Your beginnings to freedom start today. You cannot be sold on what already belongs to you. Without an understanding of who we are, and from where we came, I do not think we can truly advance. We are whatever we think we are, nothing more and nothing less.
