By Spanish Fork Press - | Mar 21, 2007

Vaulters from Spanish Fork, Salem, and Woodland Hills performed 30 minutes of spectacular gymnastic and dance moves on top of a moving horse for an audience of more than 100 people March 10.

Salem’s Oak Hills Vaulting Club demonstrated horse vaulting “Rock and Roll” 1950s style. The team was made up of 10 vaulters, three longeurs, and three horses. Team members range in age from less than 10 years old to more than 50.

The vaulting demonstration took place during the annual Horse Expo at the South Jordan Equestrian Park. The Oak Hills Vaulting Club is an official club of the American Vaulting Association, which has approximately 100 clubs across the United States.
