Hey, nature lovers! Before you spend some time in the great outdoors, consider going to the great indoors at the South Towne Expo Center in Sandy for one of the biggest outdoor recreation trade shows of the year.

The International Sportsmen’s Exposition will be held next weekend, Thursday to March 21, at the South Towne center. The four-day event is sponsored by the Utah Department of Natural Resources, the World Fishing Network, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and KUTV Channel 2.

The Sportsmen’s Expo includes seminars, contests, product demonstrations, show-priced bargains on outdoor recreation equipment and accessories, and the opportunity to rub shoulders with outdoor guides and lodge owners.

The expo will be open from noon to 9 p.m. on Thursday and March 19; 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on March 20; and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 21. Admission is $12, but there’s no charge for anyone 15 and younger. Additional information is available online at www.sportsexpos.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewlocation&locationnumber=7.
