5 ways to have fun with your family in Utah County this week

Utah County is a great place for family fun, with events across the valley for kids of all ages. Here are five fun events that are perfect for the whole family this week.

Have fun at the Lamb and Wool Festival

Head to Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point, where the sheep will be the stars of the show. The Lamb and Wool Festival will include demonstrations of the sheep shearing process, lessons about wool use and fiber arts and a sheep dog presentation.

When: 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday; Sheep shearing demonstration from noon-2 p.m.

Where: Farm Country, Thanksgiving Point; 3003 N. Thanksgiving Way, Lehi

Head to the ballpark

Temperatures this week are forecasted in the 50s and 60s in Provo, which means it is perfect weather for a ballgame. BYU Baseball has three home games this week. The Cougars will face off against Santa Clara Thursday and Friday nights at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 1 p.m at Miller Park at BYU. UVU Baseball will take on Air Force at UCCU Ballpark at 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Enjoy the sounds of BYU Noteworthy

Take in the sounds of BYU Noteworthy, BYU’s top female a cappella group, as they perform at the Covey Center for the Arts. The group will sing renditions of popular songs. The performance is for anyone over the age of 2.

When: 7:30 p.m., Thursday

Where: Covey Center for the Arts; 425 W. Center St., Provo

Tickets: $10-$12

Take in ‘The Little Mermaid’ at Hale Center Theater Orem

Hale Center Theater Orem’s latest production takes audiences “Under the Sea” to enjoy the onstage version of “The Little Mermaid,” a perfect way to enjoy the art of the stage with your kids.

See the production before it ends its run next week.

When: Mondays through Saturdays through April 14; evening performances at 7:30 p.m., Saturday matinees at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Where: Hale Center Theater Orem; 225 W. 400 North, Orem

Cost: $14-24 for tickets

Eat at a food truck roundup

With spring weather making an appearance, its a great opportunity to eat outside at one of the local food trucks. The Springville Library Food Truck Roundup will start its season Friday night from 6-9 p.m. It will feature local food trucks including Porky’s Poutine, Smoke a Billy Food Truck, Mo’ Joe’s Food Truck, Udder Joy Creamery, Gerlach’s and Jurassic Street Tacos.

When: 6-9 p.m., Friday

Where: Springville Library; 45 S. Main St., Springville
