5 ways to have fun with your family in Utah County this week
Utah County is a great place for family fun, with events across the valley for kids of all ages. Here are five fun events that are perfect for the whole family this week.
Tulip Festival
It’s the opening weekend of Thanksgiving Point’s annual Tulip Festival, which is the perfect time to get out and enjoy the spring weather.
The Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point’s Ashton Gardens is a yearly attraction that brings in multitudes of visitors. In its 14th year, the Tulip Festival will include more than 280,000 of tulips in different varieties.

Home and Family Expo
Take the whole family to the Spanish Fork Fairgrounds this weekend for the Home and Family Expo. It’s a fun event for all ages, with exhibits and demonstrations related to home and garden improvement, family health and nutrition as well as family fun hobbies and pastimes.
When: 12-8 p.m. on Friday; 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday

Head to Hee Haw Farms
You may have been to Hee Haws Farms in the fall for their corn maze and fall activities, but the farm also has family fun spring activities. The farm is open to the public on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays through May 12. Activities include Farmyard croquet, pony rides, hay jump, goat walk, corn box, the animal train, hayrides and the petting farmyard.

Catch a Family Flix
The Orem Public Library will host its monthly Family Flix event Saturday. The event features a family-friendly movie screening at the Media Auditorium at the library. This month’s featured film will be “Miniscule: Valley of the Lost Ants.”

Catch a live animal show
Love animals? The BYU Bean Life Science Museum hosts free public live animal shows Mondays through Fridays at 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. There is also an additional show on Monday at 6:30 p.m. Each day’s show has a different theme — adaptations, Utah diversity, vertebrate variety and classifications.
