5 ways to have fun with your family in Utah County this week
Utah County is a great place for family fun, with events across the valley for kids of all ages.
Here are five fun events that are perfect for the whole family this week:
Celebrate in Salem
Salem Days, the annual city celebration in Salem, will include several fun family activities throughout the week. The celebration runs through Saturday and will include events like the annual Cardboard Duct Tape Regatta, a family movie in the park, tractor pull, the Little Buck-a-Roo Rodeo, children’s parade, family fun run, the grand parade, the Greatest Show and fireworks.

Have fun in Alpine
This week Alpine will celebrate Alpine Days with several fun events. The event runs daily through Saturday, and will include some favorite annual events. You can head to Alpine for its annual Foam Party, Family Night Luau, Chalk Art Contest, RC Car Racing, Rodeo, Fish Grab, carnival, parade and concert in the park.

Show your love for Lindon
One other Utah County city is hosting its annual city celebration this week — Lindon. Lindon Days kicked off Monday and runs through Saturday. With a theme of “Inspire,” the event will include events for those of all ages. Some of the best events include the Lindon Police Park Party and City Council Ice Cream Social, Huck Finn Fishing, Cardboard Boat Regatta, Flag Retirement Ceremony, Mini Rodeo, Junior Rodeo, Mayor’s Breakfast, parade, fair, concert and fireworks.

Take in a movie
Thursday night’s outdoor movie in Saratoga Springs is not your normal outdoor movie, it is a Box Car Drive In. Create your own cardboard box car at home, or make one at the park (there will be limited supplies at the event). Bring your car to the movie and enjoy seeing “Cars 3” while sitting in your cardboard box car.
Along with the movie, there also will be games, activities, car show, prizes and more.
When: 7:30 p.m.; Thursday (movie begins at about 9:15 p.m.)

Shop on the street
Take the whole family to the Eagle Mountain Street Fair, which helps to support small local businesses. The fair will include more than 150 booths with apparel, baby items, home decor, services, crafts, health, cosmetics, jewelry, home improvement and food.
