Utah County is a great place for family fun, with events across the valley for kids of all ages.

Here are five fun events that are perfect for the whole family this week:

Have fun at the fair

The Utah County Fair is in full swing this week, and will include four days of fun activities for those of all ages. Some of the events include the Rodeo and Western Night, Demolition Derby, talent show, Kid’s Corner, monster trucks, shark tanks and animal shows.

When: Wednesday-Saturday

Where: Spanish Fork Fair Grounds; 475 S. Main St., Spanish Fork

Have a Sharktastic Saturday

If you or your kids love sharks, Thanksgiving Point is the place to be Saturday for Sharktastic Saturday. The event will include scavenger hunts and other activities with shark themes, featuring everything from the ancient Megalodon shark to Hammerheads and the Great White Shark.

When: 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday

Where: Museum of Ancient Life; 3003 N. Thanksgiving Way, Lehi

Enjoy the Latin culture

With the help of Utah Mama Latina, University Place will host its first Orem Latin Festival that will help celebrate Latin culture. Feliz Dias Latin Fest will include crafts, food, music, performances and more. It’s a great family activity and will include performances throughout the day and food from Pepe’s Mexican Grill. A dance party will follow the event from 9-10 p.m. Friday night.

When: 10 a.m. to 10 a.m., Friday and Saturday

Where: University Place; 575 E. University Parkway, Orem

See an outdoor movie

Lehi will continue its Outdoor Movie Series on Saturday with a showing of “Wonder” at the Ivory Ridge Splash Pad. The event will begin at dusk and there will be free popcorn.

You can also catch a movie at the SCERA Center for the Arts. The annual outdoor movie showcase will conclude Wednesday with an airing of “Monty Python and the Holy Grail” at dusk. Tickets are required for this show.

See an outdoor show

The SCERA Shell Outdoor Theater will conclude showing of its theater production “Bye Bye Birdie: The Musical” Saturday, so head down to see the show before it’s over. It features a high-energy score and a funny script that is perfect for the whole family.
