5 ways to have fun with your family in Utah County this week

Utah County is a great place for family fun, with events across the valley for kids of all ages. Here are five fun events that are perfect for the whole family this week.

Celebrate Latino culture

Payson City will host its first Latino Cultural Celebration Friday, ahead of the Cinco de Mayo holiday. The event will include the unique sounds of Mexican folk music and booths. There will also be authentic authentic Mexican food, perfect for the whole family.

When: 7-9 p.m.; Friday

Where: Peteetneet Amphitheatre, 10 S. 600 East, Payson

Have a fun Cinco de Mayo

University Place will host a free Cinco de Mayo event in the Orchard with performances, music, crafts, pony rides and games. There will also be food and drinks from Pepe’s Grill. The event will have fun activities for those of all ages.

When: 4-6 p.m., Saturday

Where: The Orchard at University Place

Help out the firefighters at Sundance

The Sundance Mountain Resort will host a family-friendly pancake breakfast prepared by the North Fork firefighters. Take the whole family for pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage and orange juice. The event is a fundraiser for the North Fork Fire Department volunteers Tickets are $12 in person at the General Store and $14 at the door. Tickets can also be purchased online at http://sundanceresort.com or by phone at (866) 734-4428.

When: 8-11 a.m., Saturday

Where: Sundance Resort Rehearsal Hall, 8841 N. Alpine Loop Rd., Sundance

Cost: $12-$14

Take in the sights of spring

The Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point has been going for several weeks, but if your family hasn’t made it yet, you better hurry. The event will wrap up for the 2018 season on Saturday.

The Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point’s Ashton Gardens is a yearly attraction that brings in multitudes of visitors. In its 14th year, the Tulip Festival includes more than 280,000 of tulips in different varieties.

When: 9 a.m-8 p.m.; daily through Saturday

Where: Ashton Gardens; 3900 N. Garden Dr., Lehi

Cost: $15-$20

Shop at a spring boutique

The Beehive Bazaar will host its spring show starting Thursday through Saturday. The boutique will showcase independent arts, crafts, designs and edibles from more than 100 local artists. You can buy handmade goods like jewelry, paintings, bags, glass, vinyl, paper, clothing and accessories. It’s a great time to get a gift for Mother’s Day.

When: 10 a.m.-10 p.m., Thursday-Friday; 10 a.m.-8 p.m., Saturday

Where: Bright Building; 33 W. 400 South, Provo
