Utah County is a great place for family fun, with events across the valley for all ages.

Here are five fun events that are perfect for the whole family this week:

Celebrate the Dog Days

If your dog is just as much a part of your family as anyone else, this week you can celebrate fall with your four-legged friend.

Have a fun time with your pooch at Dog Days in the Garden at Thanksgiving Point. Dogs can enjoy the fall weather while strolling through Ashton Gardens.

There also will be an off-leash area for those dogs who want to run free.

When: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., through Saturday

Where: Thanksgiving Point; 3003 N. Thanksgiving Way, Lehi

Celebrate harvest

This fall, celebrate with your family by seeing some of the biggest pumpkins in the state. Thanksgiving Point will host the Utah Giant Pumpkin Growers Annual Pumpkin Weigh Off.

You can see monster-sized pumpkins, and this year, the weigh-off also will include competitions for gourds, tomatoes, field pumpkins and watermelons.

The weigh-off will kick off Thanksgiving Point’s Harvest Festival, a free event with artisan and produce vendors, crafts for kids and music.

When: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday

Where: Thanksgiving Point; 3003 N. Thanksgiving Way, Lehi
