5 ways to have fun with your family in Utah County this week

Springville will host its annual Bike With the Mayor event on Saturday.

Utah County is a great place for family fun, with events across the valley for all ages.

Here are five fun events that are perfect for the whole family this week:

Get crafty

Once a month, Provo Towne Centre offers a free Kids Club activity with this month’s fun scheduled for Wednesday and sponsored by JCPenney Portraits.

The activity is a craft, which includes the supplies and directions to make a colorful picture frame with a special photo opportunity available. Supplies are limited, so those interested are invited to arrive on time.

When: Noon on Wednesday

Where: Provo Towne Centre’s upper level, near the food court, 1200 Towne Centre Blvd. in Provo

Enjoy ‘Cinderella'

All the beauty and classic magic of “Cinderella” will come to life on stage at the SCERA Center for the Arts as the Utah Metropolitan Ballet and Jacqueline’s School of Ballet join together to present their annual “Once Upon a Time” series. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for children with more details at scera.org.

When: 7:30 p.m., Thursday-Saturday with a matinee at 2 p.m. on Saturday

Where: SCERA Center for the Arts, 745 S. State St. in Orem

Party with baby animals

One of the most adorable things about warmer weather and the spring is the plenitude of baby animals being born. Thanksgiving Point’s Farm is no exception, and they’re celebrating their baby animal boom with an annual Baby Animal Birthday Party. Join in the fun with birthday cake, chances to name the babies, and of course, the opportunity to see them up close. The party is included with admission, and free for members.

When: 4-8 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Where: Thanksgiving Point’s Farm Country, 3003 N. Thanksgiving Way in Lehi

Go on a bike ride

Springville will host its annual Bike With the Mayor event on Saturday. The event will include donuts, giveaways, free bike registration and a bike ride, with hot dogs served afterward. The event also marks the opening of the city’s Splash Pad for the season.

When: Starting at 9:30 a.m. with the bike ride starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday

Where: Springville Civic Center, 110 S. Main St. in Springville

Celebrate kids

This Saturday is Utah County Baby and Kids Day at University Place, meaning a day of play, education, shopping and more focusing on kids from pregnancy throughout childhood.

Professionals will be on hand all day with themed vendors and free admission.

When: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday

Where: The Orchard at University Place, 575 E. University Parkway in Orem
