Utah County is a great place for family fun, with events across the valley for all ages.

Here are five fun events that are perfect for the whole family this week:

Celebrate culture

One of the best things about living in Utah County is the unique cultural diversity, with universities and jobs bringing people with global interests to the area.

You can celebrate that this weekend with the Utah Pacifika Festival, coming to Downtown Provo this week. The festival will feature free live entertainment, Polynesian food and art, cultural clothing, carvings, crafts, performances and more with something for all ages.

When: Throughout the day Friday and Saturday with a musical fireside Sunday

Where: 100 E. Center St. in Provo

Head to a city celebration

Though summer hasn’t quite arrived, that isn’t stopping the impending onslaught of annual city celebrations, starting this week with Eagle Mountain’s Pony Express Days. The festivities kick off Friday and run through June 1, with events including a rodeo, demolition derby, carnival, parade, concert, fireworks and more, with this weekend specifically including the Pony Express Days Rodeo.

When: Pony Express Days runs Friday through June 1 with the rodeo set for Friday, Saturday and Monday at 6:30 p.m.

Where: Festivities will take place across Eagle Mountain with the rodeo held at the Eagle Mountain Rodeo Grounds, 4447 Major St. in Eagle Mountain

Listen to great music

Kick off the SCERA Center for the Arts’ 35th anniversary season and celebrate Orem City’s Centennial at a Memorial Day concert featuring John Michael Montgomery and Josh Gracin. Not only will you be treated to great music and a killer sunset, but the show will be followed by a fireworks display.

When: 8 p.m. Monday, with gates to the venue opening at 6:30 p.m.

Where: SCERA Shell Outdoor Theatre, 600 S. 400 East in Orem

Ride a train

Saratoga Springs’ Shay Park offers the community a unique opportunity — the chance to interact with the Utah Live Steamers and enjoy a miniature train ride around the park.

Saturday marks the opening of the season for 2019 rides, as well as a celebration of the driving in of the Golden Spike. Free train rides will be available, as well as live music, though donations are also welcome.

When: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday

Where: Shay Park, 516 W. Aspen Hills Blvd. in Saratoga Springs

Go on a bike ride

National Bike Month will continue throughout May with events across the area, including a Bike Month Social Ride around Provo. The event is a sunset ride with no racing or spandex, and is one of a series of social rides set for this month.

When: 8 p.m. Wednesday

Where: The ride starts at the Provo Bicycle Collective, 397 E. 200 North in Provo
