The Eagle Mountain Energy Department would like to advise residents of an increasing number of incidents where juveniles are suspected of switching off power at residences via the outside breaker box. If you experience a power outage, please check your outside breaker box before calling the utilities hotline. It is also recommended to put a lock on the box if possible. If the breaker switch is on and you are not aware of any other reason for the power outage, please report it to the hotline at (801) 789-5959, option 2. If you observe anyone tampering with a breaker box, please call the sheriff’s dispatch at (801) 794-3970.
