In 2015, technology is king — though after watching Blendtec’s “Will It Blend?” video crushing a poor Apple watch this week, perhaps it’s not so mighty.

Almost two decades ago, “new” technology lined conference spaces at the Provo Park Hotel in downtown Provo. The hotel was first built in 1983 as the Excelsior Hotel. It was not only the first high rise hotel in the county but also housed a private club, restaurant and ballroom. Over the years the hotel has carried four names: Excelsior, Seven Peaks Hotel, Provo Park Hotel and the current Provo Marriott.
