Date of Jeffrey R. Holland’s funeral services announced

Holland of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, who died Saturday at 85, were announced by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Sunday.
A funeral will take place from 11 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Dec. 31, at the Tabernacle on Temple Square and will be open to the public, ages 8 and older.
The Tabernacle door will open at 9:30 a.m., and admission will be on a space available basis, according to a church news release.
The service will be presided by church President Dallin H. Oaks and Quentin L. Cook will conduct, while members of the Holland family speak. ChurchofJesusChirst.org will live stream the service.
Holland will be laid to rest next to his wife, Patricia, in his hometown of St. George.
