Loud booms to rattle portions of Utah County, as live fire training is underway at Camp Williams

The Utah National Guard warned that the exercise will occur through Friday.
Loud booms will be heard and felt periodically across northern Utah County cities within the closest proximity to the base such as Eagle Mountain, Lehi, Saratoga Springs, though other areas in the county may be subjected to the impacts as well.
Camp Williams regularly conducts live fire training to ensure military personnel maintain deployment readiness.
While these trainings don’t warrant a cause for alarm, citizens may have various reactions to such impactful noise disruptions.
Those with particular sensitivities to the loud sounds may want to consider taking precautions.
