Sister Kristin M. Yee of the Relief Society General Presidency shows how a Giving Machine works at the global launch event for the 2025 Giving Machine initiative at the Conference Center on Temple Square on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ lineup for the 2025 Light the World Giving Machine kiosks includes the addition of a new Utah Valley location.

According to a map of 2025 Giving Machines released Wednesday, the kiosks will be at Brigham Young University from Dec. 1 to Dec. 23.

Natalie Ipson, a digital communications director for BYU, confirmed to the Daily Herald on Wednesday that the university will have Giving Machines on campus this December for the first time.

Ipson said the school will receive six digital kiosks and that the machines will split time and locations between the Wilkinson Student Center and the Marriott Center. She added that the machines will be launched during BYU’s 150th: Night of Light event at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 1 at Brigham Square.

A Giving Machine will also return to its usual Utah Valley location at University Place in Orem.

Giving Machines offer people a chance to purchase a good or necessity from a vending machine for people in need. According to the church, items vary based on location but could include anything from food and clothing to career training and livestock.

Worldwide, Giving Machines will be in 126 cities across 21 countries and six continents, marking the largest year yet for the charity initiative. New countries participating include Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Chile, El Salvador, Italy, Japan, Spain and Thailand.

According to a news release, more than 4,000 items will be available worldwide from over 500 local nonprofits and 12 global participants: American Red Cross, Care, Church World Service, Days for Girls International, Lifting Hands International, Mentors International, Right to Play, Special Olympics, Splash, UNHCR, UNICEF and Water for Good.

“We have so many wonderful participating nonprofits that are part of this work,” Sister Kristin M. Yee of the Relief Society General Presidency said in the release. “We are so grateful to work with them in this effort. There are many hands that are part of this. We cannot do this on our own. It’s only together that we can do this. Whether we’re a nonprofit or just an individual, we can have the opportunity to help and offer acts of kindness and help move goods to those in need.”

Starting at $4.32/week.
