Church of Jesus Christ announces funeral services for President Russell M. Nelson

Nelson, who died Saturday at age 101.
A tribute to Nelson will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday and be broadcast on BYUtv, KSL, the church’s website and YouTube. Several church leaders and The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square will honor the late church president throughout the broadcast.
On Monday, following Sunday’s conclusion of general conference, a public viewing will be held from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the Conference Center in Salt Lake City.
A public funeral begins noon Oct. 7, in the Conference Center. Tickets to the funeral will be available starting at 10 a.m. Thursday at 10 a.m. The Conference Center will open at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 7, and attendees must be seated by 11:30 a.m.
The funeral will also be broadcasted via KSL, BYUtv, the church’s website and YouTube.
A private burial service will take place after the funeral.
Nelson died in his Salt Lake City home from causes incident to age, according to the church.
He had served as the 17th president of the church since Jan. 14, 2018.
