According to Orem police, the man was struck by a vehicle at the 700 East University Parkway intersection at 12:40 p.m. First responders initiated life-saving measures but the man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Authorities said the driver remained on scene and was cooperative with the investigation. Eastbound traffic was impacted on the roadway Monday afternoon as police conducted their investigation.

The name of the victim was not released Monday.
