Saratoga Springs police looking for person of interest in homicide case after body found in RV

Saratoga Springs police are requesting the public’s assistance in the search for a person of interest in a homicide case after the body of a woman was found in an RV.
While investigating a missing person’s case, detectives served a search warrant on an RV belonging to Alvaro Rojas at a storage lot in Draper and found a body believed to be 43-year-old Jeusselem Vitola, according to a Saratoga Springs news release Tuesday.
Police believe Rojas, 57, originally from Venezuela, fled Utah and has been in California. Rojas, also known as Jose Alvaro, is 5-feet 9-inches tall, 193 pounds and has brown hair. Police say he is believed to be driving a 2005 Gray Toyota Sequoia with a Utah Arches style license plate number T409YB, the news release said.
“We are working the case in coordination with the Draper Police Department, the FBI, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and the Border Patrol,” a Saratoga Springs city official said.
According to an initial Saratoga Springs news release Monday, Rojas and Vitola were reported missing after they were last seen by family members on Thursday at 10:15 a.m.
