A GoFundMe has been created for a Saratoga Springs family who suffered the loss of their 13-year-old son in a vehicle accident last week.

On Thursday afternoon, a semitruck collided with a minivan traveling northbound at the Pony Express Road and Mountain View Corridor intersection. The GoFundMe identified Parker Gale as the boy killed in the accident. Additional family members suffered serious injuries.

“During this unimaginable time, the Gale family is facing overwhelming medical expenses, funeral costs, lost income, and the many day-to-day burdens that come with a tragedy like this,” Roxana Jorgensen said in the GoFundMe post.

“We are asking our community, friends, neighbors, and anyone who feels moved to help support the Gale family. Every donation — no matter the amount — will go directly toward helping them focus on healing, recovery, and being together as a family.”

The goal was to raise $90,000 in donations. As of midday Monday, more than $68,000 had been raised.

Starting at $4.32/week.
