Provo police issued an appeal to the public Thursday for information on the whereabouts of 7-year-old twins who went missing last year.
Authorities believe Amelia and Sophia Johns were taken by their mother, 29-year-old Victoria Zoe Vincent, on July 21, 2025, without the consent or knowledge of their father, Joshua Johns.
Johns filed a missing person report in October 2025, and received sole custody of children when a divorce decree was finalized in December 2025, according to Provo police.
Investigators have followed up on all leads and information provided by family members and other agencies, but the twins have not been located, police said.
“It is believed they are with their mother,” a news release said. “They may also be using the surname, Vincent. There is no information indicating the children are in danger at this time.”
Amelia and Sophia were last seen with Vincent on July 21, 2025 attending a gymnastics class at the Orem Recreation Center. Police said the family vehicle was left in the parking lot with the keys inside, and Vincent and the twins have not been seen by paternal family members since.
The Vincent’s have family ties to Spokane, Washington, Texas and California, police said.
“We are seeking to locate Amelia and Sophia, to comply with the court-ordered agreement,” the news release said. “If anyone has information that could help us find the twins, we encourage them to call our detectives at 801-852-6210. Alternatively, information can be sent via the National Center of Missing & Exploited Children online tips, or by calling NCMEC at 1800-843-5678.”
