Lane closures on Interstate 15 are expected northbound in Lehi through the weekend as crews work on the 2100 North interchange.

Closures began Wednesday night and will occur Thursday, Saturday and Sunday night, according to the Utah Department of Transportation. Lanes will stay open Friday night to accommodate travel for BYU’s football game.

On Thursday night, crews will begin closing lanes at 7 p.m., restricting travel to one lane by midnight, UDOT said. Lanes will reopen by 4 p.m. Friday.

On Saturday and Sunday night, lanes will begin closing at 7 p.m. and be reduced to one lane by midnight. Lanes will fully reopen at 7 a.m. Sunday and 5 a.m. Monday, respectively.

During lane closures, UDOT said crews will relocate utilities, build stabilizing soil and begin setting the foundations of the new 2100 North interchange.

Speeds will be reduced to 60 mph during construction.

The construction is part of UDOT’s is project to build the 2100 North freeway, a 2.8-mile connection linking the I-15 to Mountain View Cooridor to improve east-to-west travel in northern Utah County.

Starting at $4.32/week.
