Chayce G. Loveless, 28, was arrested during a traffic stop Friday morning. He faces 10 counts of forcible sexual assault, a third-degree felony, and four counts of enticing a minor, a second degree felony. 

Payson police said in a news release they received an FBI CyberTip in July alleging Loveless had groped student athletes and solicited nude photos from several students on the wrestling team, as well as at least one student unassociated with the team. 

Numerous individuals were interviewed by detectives throughout the investigation, and search warrants were served to media platforms and at a residence, police said. 

“At this point, investigators have identified numerous individuals, who were all minors at the time of the occurrences,” Payson police said.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Loveless groped at least two victims multiple times during wrestling practices. Loveless told authorities he solicited four male minors for nude pictures, according to the affidavit. Police said Loveless told them did not remember groping the alleged victims, but said that if they said he had he “probably did.” 

Payson police believe there is a “high likelihood” of additional victims. Loveless had served as an assistant coach from 2020 to the present, and the identified victims identified were found spread across those dates, authorities said.
