Vineyard just announced the launch of the Vineyard Grapevine, a valuable new resource designed to connect residents to the most up-to-date information about what’s happening in our city. The Grapevine is an FAQ-type page where residents can submit questions about city projects, policies and services, and get accurate and timely answers. Its purpose is simply to provide information on important city issues. Our goal is to build trust through transparency and keep everyone up to date on what’s happening in Vineyard City.

Vineyard is one of the fastest-growing cities in Utah and the nation, jumping from a mere 150 residents in 2010 to around 22,000 residents today. As we grow, one of the city’s top priorities is building and sustaining strong connections with our residents. Vineyard’s exceptional growth demands that we remain adaptable and responsive to community needs. The Vineyard Grapevine is one of many public engagement tools we are using to accomplish this goal.

In today’s age, where so much is happening as we continue to grow and information can spread quickly, we saw the need for a dependable source where residents can get clear, up-to-date answers about what they hear. Other cities in our region experiencing major growth (e.g., Eagle Mountain, Herriman, Lehi) have launched similar public engagement tools. We are embracing a variety of communication tools to help us enhance public awareness about the important work of our city and better connect with residents in ways that are convenient for them. The purpose of the Grapevine is to serve the needs of a fast-growing community and provide a proactive response to residents seeking another informational resource. It is designed to create an inviting space where residents can ask questions and receive clear, factual information.

Residents can submit a question such as, “Is there a grocery store coming to Vineyard?” City staff and subject matter experts will then provide answers that reflect the up-to-date status of city operations and the specific project: “Yes, Vineyard is getting a grocery store on 800 N and Main St. Follow the link to site plans.” This effort helps residents better get to know the community they live in and stay informed in their understanding of the city’s functions and new development coming in.

The Grapevine encourages curiosity and welcomes questions. While the Grapevine is not intended to be a forum for discussions, we have other places where that can take place. For example, residents can attend council meetings and share opinions. They can also report issues through our Report-a-Concern forums and use our newsletter, city app, media channels and FAQ sites like the Grapevine to stay informed about pressing issues and share their thoughts and feedback through city surveys and with their elected council members.

The Grapevine is a go-to source for reliable and straightforward information on what’s happening in the city. If the public is curious about new developments, safety improvements, city services or any aspect of life in Vineyard, the Grapevine provides clear answers and helpful information.

As part of our commitment to community engagement, the Grapevine strengthens our connection with residents by ensuring everyone feels informed and confident in the updates they receive. This initiative aligns with our mission to deliver transparent, up-to-date info and cultivate a well-informed, engaged community where we all contribute to shaping Vineyard’s future.

I encourage residents to ask questions through the Grapevine. Let’s work together to create a community informed by facts and focused on helping Vineyard live up to its full potential together.

Starting at $4.32/week.
