Two Pleasant Grove juveniles accidentally shot by friend, police say
On Sunday, Pleasant Grove police were dispatched to the area of 900 W. 600 South responding reports of a gunshot.
When the officers arrived on the scene, they found two juvenile females had been shot accidentally by a friend, according to the police reports.
The three were in the same room, with one shot fired but affecting the two victims. The third youth allegedly possessed a handgun, according to Sgt. James Oliver of the Pleasant Grove Police Department.
The two females were taken to the hospital where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The scene has been secured while the investigation continues Monday, according to Pleasant Grove police information.
Police indicated that there does not appear to be any threat to the public.
Oliver said charges will be referred to the county attorney’s office.
