Music lovers in Utah County will have their pick of shows at Utah Valley University in the next week.

Time For Three will perform at the UVU Noorda Center for the Performing Arts on Friday and Goitse will perform next Monday.

Time For Three is a trio known for its energetic performances and comprised of Charles Yang, violinist and vocalist; Nicholas Kendall, violinist and vocalist; and Ranaan Meyer, double bassist and vocalist. The band’s music defies genre, containing country-western, jazz, and classical elements.

“Defying convention and boundaries, Time For Three stands at the busy intersection of Americana, modern pop, and classical music,” reads Time For Three’s website. “To experience Time For Three (TF3) live is to hear the various eras, styles, and traditions of Western music fold in on themselves and emerge anew.”

Time For Three formed in 2003 and has since toured the United States and Europe performing as a stand-alone act and with various symphony and chamber orchestras. The trio recently scored the film “Land,” which debuted at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.

Time For Three will be accompanied by the UVU Symphony Orchestra and will perform at the Noorda Center on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Goitse, the Irish folk band, will perform at the Noorda Center on Feb. 28 at 7:30 p.m.

Goitse, pronounced “Go-wit-cha,” is a quintet comprised of Irish and American musicians Colm Phelan, Áine McGeeney, Conal O’Kane, Tadhg ” Meachair and Alan Reid. The band plays self-proclaimed “contagiously energetic Irish music.”

“The popular and multi-award-winning quintet Goitse was forged in the white-hot creative crucible of Limerick’s Irish World Academy.” States Goitse’s website. “Goitse have become a leader of the new generation of traditional Irish ensembles.”

Goitse was named Live Ireland’s Traditional Group of the Year in 2015, as well as the Chicago Irish American News’ Group of the Year in 2015. The band won the Freiburger International Leiter 2016 award in Germany and McGeeney was named Best Female Vocalist by Irish American News that same year.

Tickets for either performance range from $10-$30, and can be purchased by calling the Blair Family Box Office at 801-863-7529, or online at https//uvu.edu/thenoorda/.
