Tech writer David Pogue to speak at UVU

David Pogue will speak at Utah Valley University on Thursday, March 3, 2022.

Author, public speaker and columnist David Pogue will give an address at Utah Valley University on Thursday as part of the UVU Presidential Lecture Series.

“David Pogue is the expert ‘entertainer-explainer’ in all things high tech,” UVU President Astrid S. Tuminez said in a press release. “His lectures are funny, fast-paced, entertaining, and educational, and he is known for accompanying himself on the piano when he sings his tech-industry song parodies like ‘Don’t Cry For Me, Cupertino’. Whether you are a student or work in tech, you won’t want to miss David.”

Pogue is known for his expansive expertise in the world of science and technology. He has written and co-written over 120 books on various subjects such as climate change, financial wellness and Apple products, and is a New York Times bestselling author.

Pogue has received six Emmy Awards for his work on “CBS Sunday Morning” and is also a five-time TED conference speaker. He writes the “Crowdwise” feature for the New York Times “Smarter Living” section and has hosted 20 “NOVA” PBS specials.

The lecture will take place at 11:30 a.m. at the UVU Orem Campus Keller Building in the Vallejo Grand Auditorium.
